Sacred or Scared?

I just found out that "sacred" and "scared" are the same word with a slight word-order difference. It felt like such synchronicity to discover this since I've been working with the notion of fear and sacredness (or Love) living right next to each other. Without going into too much detail now, I've had a couple of profound experiences that have shown me that if I have the courage to dive into fear, then I can experience the most magical quantities of Love.

In this video I share one of my spiritual practices: singing to Love, to the Divine, to the Universe and the Goddess within. How is this scary? Well, I grew up hearing that I was a terrible singer. Unfortunately for me, I love to sing. So, little Lucia told her voice that it couldn't sing since it, well, sucked.

This voice rebelled at some point and wanted to sing. But as we all know, our little childhood "traumas" are not that simple to overcome. Long story short, I've been singing by myself as a spiritual practice and it takes me to a beautiful place within. So here I am, sharing something that is deeply sacred to me. Sharing this with others also makes me profoundly scared.

Sacred or scared? I feel both. And it's okay. The more willing I am to experience being scared, the more sacred moments I will likely experience...

And about the chant: Hanuman is a monkey-Hindu-God. Like I say in the video, I do not consider myself Hindu but singing these words bring me tremendous joy. Hanuman represents (to me) a balance of physical and mental action with letting go and surrendering to the mystery of life. And how beautiful that as I am doing my spiritual practice, my little 3-year-old daughter wakes up from her nap and joins me, telling me she has "fome" - that she is hungry. Aka: Mama, land back on Earth and feed me :)
